Infect-Net is an association of female scientists from research, clinical practice and diagnostics in the field of infection research. Our goal is to strengthen the visibility and voice of women in this field. In doing so, we want to not only strengthen our perception as experts in society, politics and the media, but also create more female role models for young scientists.
Through our active participation in leadership positions and scientific committees, we want to ensure that women help shape and influence infection research and science policy in Germany in the long term. From a BMBF-funded project, Infect-Net has now grown into an association of over 200 female infection researchers and will continue to pursue its mission as an independent association in the future.
